A new national Anti-Doping Programme is being introduced across all equestrian affiliates in Ireland, including show jumping, eventing and dressage, from April 1.

As part of the roll-out of the programme, Horse Sport Ireland is running four information evenings for riders, owners, grooms and any other interested parties.

The information evenings will deal with the new HSI anti-doping rules, the prohibited substances list, procedures at events/shows, and international experience in doping control.

Speakers will include Team Ireland Equestrian Vets and the Irish Equine Centre.

The dates for the meetings are:

• Monday, 26th March – Talbot Hotel,  Portlaoise Road, Co. Carlow

• Tuesday, 27th March – Armagh City Hotel,  Friary Road, Co. Armagh

• Wednesday, 28th March – Ard Ri House Hotel,  Milltown Road, Tuam, Co. Galway

• Thursday, 29th March – Charleville Park Hotel,  Charleville, Co. Cork
