Authorities in Indiana are investigating a collision between a car and a horse-drawn buggy in which five youths were injured.
The driver of the car in Warsaw is alleged to been over the legal driving limit for alcohol.
The Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the head-on crash on Saturday night shortly before 11pm, which resulted in the death of the horse.
It is alleged the driver fled the scene.
Witnesses reported that the car passed the buggy, then turned around in a Walmart car park before heading back along the road, where the collision occurred.
A man, 24, is expected to face charges of failing to stop after a vehicle accident and driving while intoxicated.
