Woman flown to hospital in England after horse fall

A young woman has been airlifted to hospital in England after suffering a serious head injury in a fall from a horse.

The woman suffered in the injury in an accident in Ingham, Norfolk, on Sunday.

She flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Dr Dan Devin, Dr Michele Zasa and paramedic Jemma Varela were flown to the scene by Captain Chris Sherriff aboard the helicopter, Anglia Two, which landed in a field next to the incident.

The medical team provided initial treatment alongside East of England Ambulance Service paramedic Ben Caine, before the woman was airlifted from the scene.

No further information is available.
