Two horse carriages stolen by thieves

Two horse carriages have been stolen in a brazen theft in Suffolk, England.

The two carriages, as well as three sets of horse harness, were were stolen from a shed off Chalk Road, in Brandon, after the door was forced open between 3pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Police are also investigating the theft of saddles, bridles, ropes and a box trailer from sheds at an address in Church Road, Brandon, overnight on Wednesday.

Offenders cut through locks and chains to gain access. Wooden fencing was pushed over in order to remove the trailer.

Suffolk said overnight patrols were being stepped up.

Police are urging local people to contact them if they see any suspicious activity in the area.
