Amish boy dies in horse-related farming accident

A 12-year-old Amish boy is dead after being trampled by two working horses in Wisconsin.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department has identified the boy as Leroy Lambright.

The accident happened on Saturday morning on the family farm near the town of Blair, which is in the west of the state.

Leroy was unhitching two horses from a manure spreader when the animals spooked. Leroy was fatally trampled as the horses attempted to run.

Leroy died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office is investigating.
