A horse has been rescued from 1.2 metres of water in a British swimming pool.
Firefighters with Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called on Monday afternoon to a property in Far Forest, Kidderminster after the horse tumbled into the water.
Fire crews pumped the water out of the pool using a light portable pump to get the water level down.
Crew Commander Debbie Davies said: “The horse, called Freya, was a calm horse and certainly could not have climbed out of the pool unaided.
“We were able to build a set of steps out of straw bales so that the horse could climb out of the pool.
“Freya climbed out of the pool safely and returned to her stable, thankfully she was none the worse for her adventure.”
