A new book featuring the story of FEI president Princess Haya could be headed for television.

The novel, The Princess and the Foal, is aimed at readers nine and over, and is written by Stacy Gregg. It is to be published on September 26 as a hardback and simultaneous e-book.

HarperCollins Children’s Books acquired world English rights in a one-book deal from the Miles Stott Literary Agency,  British company which specialises in children’s books.

Miles Stott Agency has retained TV and film rights for the book and will be looking for partners for adaptations at world TV market and forum MIPTV.

The book is based on the childhood of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, a former Olympic show jumper and daughter of the late King Hussein of Jordan.
