Six-time Badminton Horse Trials winner Lucinda Green is to visit New Zealand next year for a single clinic at Taupo.
There will be just one course, on February 4 and 5 at the Taupo National Equestrian Centre, because of the increasing pressure on Green for clinics around the world.
Organisers said the clinic had been secured at short notice, and would include two days of training. The first day will be a gymnastic lesson with grid work to test technical skills. The second day will be a cross‐country lesson where riders will be able to practice and perfect.
The cost for the clinic is $350.
Green is one of Great Britain’s top event riders. At the age of 19, she won Badminton for the first time and two years later became the Individual European Champion. She went on to win Badminton five more times on five different horses, has been European Champion, World Champion, and an Olympic Team Silver and European Team Gold Medalist. For thirteen out of fifteen years, she was a member of the British team, and was the leading rider a record seven seasons.
