A new organisation has been launched in New Zealand focusing on the business needs of the equine industry.
The non-profit Equine Industry Association (EIA) has been founded by business professionals Briar Carr, Alice Barker and Chelsey Hawthorn, who hope to use their experience in accounting, law and banking to provide solutions specific to the equine industry.
“The equine industry is unique and faces its own set of unpredictable and challenging conditions that can impact
on the efficient and profitable operation of a business,” Carr said.
“We hope to provide a convenient resource to help businesses through these common challenges.”
EIA has identified the need to be proactive in promoting awareness around equine specific legal issues as well as assisting with improved business strategies such as business plans, managing cash flow and debtor collection.
