OIE to oversee Azerbaijan horse competitions

azerbaijanAzerbaijan is looking to work with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) to provide equine health support at the country’s equestrian competitions.

Agriculture Minister Heydar Asadov met the OIE’s European representative Kazimieras Lukauskas this week to discuss cooperation between the two parties.

It is expected that the OIE would provide technical assistance in the improvement of the national veterinary legislation and cooperate in the field of animal identification.

Azerbaijan has been part of the OIE since 1995.
