Aussies bow out of Oceania jumping championships

| February 16, 2014 | 0 Comments

oceania-logoShowjumping’s Oceania Championships have been cancelled this season because Australia is unable to field a team for the series.

Three official tests were to have taken place from February 23, culminating at the Horse of the Year show on March 21.

However, Equestrian Australia told Equestrian Sports New Zealand this week that many of its top combinations were unavailable as they had gone offshore to pursue World Equestrian Games selection.

Unofficial Trans-Tasman competitions would still take place, at an event on March 16 and as part of the Silver Fern Stakes at the Horse of the Year Show.
