The equestrian sport of vaulting has made its debut in the Middle East, with CHI Al Shaqab hosting a competition in Qatar for the first time.
A team of vaulters put on a demonstration at the inaugural show last year, but this was the first time there had been a vaulting competition in the region.
Sheikha Mayassa bint Hamad Khalifa Al Thani, one of the patrons of CHI Al Shaqab, was present to see the 62 vaulters from 10 nations.
