Tickets for two exclusive course walks around the famous Badminton Horse Trials cross-country course in May go on sale soon.

The two walks will have experts in the sport sharing their insights, expertise and anecdotes during a leisurely stroll around Giuseppe della Chiesa’s 4* course, while raising money for Britain’s up coming World Equestrian Games and Olympic and Paralympic bids in Rio.

The walks will take place on the dressage days of the world famous horse trials, on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 May. The first will be led by London 2012 Olympic Silver Medalist and 2006 World Champion Zara Phillips, Richard Waygood and Philip Surl.

Waygood is a former four-star eventing rider, international coach, World Class Programme Manager for Dressage, and a former Riding Master Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, and Philip Surl is Assistant Eventing Performance Manager and Eventing Nations Cup Team Manager, as well as a former international rider.

The course walk sets off at 1.30pm on May 8, with a suggested minimum donation of £30.

Friday’s event will be jointly lead by Gary Parsonage (Atlanta 1996 Olympic Eventing Team Member and Chairman of Pony Selectors) and Laura Collett (Eventing Pony, Junior & Young Rider medalist, member of senior 2011 European Eventing Championship team). This course walk kicks off at 10am, on May 9, with a £25 per head suggested minimum donation.

A maximum of 30 people can take part in each course walk.

Tickets go on sale 10am on April 1, 2014 at  www.equestrianteamgbr.co.uk.
