A Florida zoo has welcomed the birth of a female Grevy’s zebra.

The 82-pound filly was born to Darasa at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens on Sunday morning. It was her fifth foal, but her first since arriving at the zoo in 2012.

The father is Mosi.

The zoo said a check by zoo staff showed that the foal, who has yet to be named, is healthy.

The pair are now back on public display.

Mosi is to be kept back in the holding yards for a while to give the new foal time to adjust to her new surroundings.

The zoo intends to auction off the naming rights of the foal on Saturday during its ExZOOberation fundraising event.
