Jacqueline Pearson: Apology

| May 30, 2014 | 0 Comments

We would like to apologise to Jacqueline Pearson, the owner of Ellie, an appaloosa mare. In our website, we reported a court case which had been heard in Scotland and repeated an allegation, which was on the Scottish SPCA website, that Mrs Pearson had pled guilty to failing to provide adequate nutrition to Ellie. That was untrue. We repeated the SSPCA’s accusation that Mrs Pearson ignored their advice and took no action.

Our article was an inaccurate report of the court proceedings and was unjustifiably damaging to Mrs Pearson’s reputation. We hereby unreservedly apologise to Mrs Pearson for any embarrassment or upset which we have caused.
