British based Australian eventer Lucinda Fredericks is to coach the Hong Kong team for the Asian Games in South Korea this September.
It is the second time Fredericks has taken on the role for the Hong Kong team.
The 2014 Asian Games, officially known as the XVII Asiad, is the largest sporting event in Asia governed by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Games take place in Incheon, South Korea from September 19 to October 4, 2014, hosting 437 events in 36 sports and disciplines.
“I have been out to Hong Kong twice over the last six months to teach clinics and I’m delighted to have Nicole Pearson and Thomas Ho on site with me at Rosegarth training,” Fredericks said.
“Thomas Ho hopes to qualify to join Nicole and Annie Ho on the team. I am really proud to be coaching the team and look forward to getting some great results.”
Hong Kong Equestrian Federation Secretary General Angela Kong said the organisation was happy to work with Fredericks again. “We look forward to getting good results for the team.”
