A Colorado horse ranch originally offered for $US6.9 million is to be sold at auction, with a reserve of $US2.5 million.

The property is said to have had more than $US10 million invested in its residences and stables.

Rising Hearts Ranch in New Castle, Colorado, will go under the hammer on August 14. The auction is being organised by luxury real estate auction firm Concierge Auctions in cooperation with Billy Long of Ranch Marketing Associates.

The property will be sold in two separate 118-acre and 134-acre parcels, or collectively.

Concierge says the property is the largest horse and breeding facility in western Colorado.

Facilities include a covered and lit show arena with a 250-person capacity to host dressage and show jumping events.

The property also includes state-of-the-art veterinary facilities, show and breeding barns, 16 paddocks, and hay production and storage resources.

It is also set to a backdrop of beautiful scenery, which offers riders breathtaking trail-riding opportunities.

Located in the Flat Tops Wilderness area along the Colorado River corridor, the ranch benefits from ideal western Colorado weather. With a low elevation and mild weather patterns, the property enjoys 300+ sunny days annually.

Rising Hearts Ranch has irrigation throughout its 252 acres.

Long described the property as one of the premier performance horse and breeding facilities in Colorado.

“On top of its horse facilities, to have 250-plus acres of irrigated, grade-A soil and excellent water, mineral and development rights are a bonus,” he said.

“And that’s not to mention the top-of-the-line quality of the structures on the property – over $US10 million has been invested in the ranch’s residences and stables – there’s really nothing like it.”

The main residence is a five-bedroom home of 6814-square-feet.

Guests can be hosted separately in a restored 2000-square-foot log home. Additionally, there are manager and employee residences on the property to house ranch hands.

The ranch is a one-hour drive from some of the world’s most renowned ski resorts, including Aspen, Vail and Beaver Creek.
