Construction crews are transforming the land surrounding the Caen Exhibition Centre, which will play host to the 2014 Games Village, which will offer entertainment and a variety of exhibitions free to those holding a Games sport ticket or with the purchase of a Games Village ticket (€5). In total, the Games Village is spread over an area of 110,000 square meters, with no fewer than 500 exhibition horses and 450 people working on site.

Alltech’s title sponsor status provides a unique opportunity to spread the message of agriculture’s critical role worldwide to a global audience and communicate Alltech’s passion for improving efficiency, profitability and sustainability on the farm and beyond through natural nutrition and scientific innovation. The Alltech Pavilion, located in the heart of the Games Village, will tell the Alltech story to thousands of international Games visitors. Spanning almost 2000 square meters, the Alltech Pavilion will feature bilingual content about Alltech’s pioneering efforts in the fields of crop, animal and human health and nutrition around the world.

“The goal of our Pavilion is to celebrate agriculture and its role in nourishing the world,” said Dr Pearse Lyons, founder and president of Alltech.

“Visitors to the Alltech Pavilion will witness first-hand how scientists at Alltech are making breakthroughs in providing solutions to farmers while protecting the world’s natural resources. My wife Deirdre and her team have worked tirelessly to design and bring to life our vision here at Alltech through this magnificent Pavilion,” Lyons said.

Exhibits at the Alltech Pavilion examine key global challenges to feeding a growing population in a healthy and sustainable way. Visitors can explore the world of scientific innovation in areas such as algae and DHA omega-3 enrichment, crop science, life science, nutrigenomics, farming and animal health. Visitors will discover Alltech’s passionate commitment to curiosity-driven research, which leads Alltech to natural, nutritional solutions for the food and feed industries around the world.
